Wondering if anyones tried those new Aramid arrows. I got a half dozen and started shooting them this week. I've had 3 of them split open about and inch or two (right behind the tip). Somethings terribly wrong. They are those new arrows with a layer of Kevlar in them.

Unless you are shooting rocks, sounds like maybe a insert problem. Take em back to where you bought them, there is something wrong with them! The bow shop I spend too much time and money at the owner uses them and showed me how tough they were by shooting into a metal rail below the targets REPEATEDLY and they came out unscathed. While I was impressed I didnt plan on shooting many animals with armor on and just earlier this year I reloaded with half a dozen Carbon Express Maxima Hunters which have served me well.

Just been shooting into the 3D foam targets. You can hear them when they split. Make a loud popping noise. Going to take these back to Cabelas and go back to the Maxima Hunters. I shot them all last year and never had an issue. Thanks for the feedback.

You may want to stick with them if done right they are very durable and a little heavier than the CX Hunters for hunting. Did they set them up at Cabelas? I bet they didnt cut them right or more likely put the wrong insert in, causing them to split under pressure when hitting the foam.
