Hey Bob What do I need to go to Ohio for a goose hunt? I'm thinking of doing this as I hear there season is different from ours, and it don't look like I'm going to be able to go to South Dakota pheasant hunting this fall.
Can you check into some of our Ohio propertys for me and see if they have any geese using them? I see on Jeffs it says that it's got geese using it.
These propertys are a part of our club and not a sister club right? I would reserve this property just like any other's we have in the club correct?
Thanks for you help in this matter. Frank

I will do some checking on it for you.
Yes, this is our club property. You reserve it just like any of our MI properties.

Bob I did some Internet checking on the lisence requirments, Also the bag limits (not what I hoped). The Lisence's are over the counter, but a lot more money then I thought they would be.
Thanks on the quick responce. |

I saw the same thing. If I recall the general license was around $112-$120. Then you had to buy the $15 state tag, HIP and Federal tag. which I am sure if you hunt MI you will have that.
Have you considered spring/later winter snow goose or even the fall snow goose hunt in the Midwest? Tags are only $6.00 in MO and you can shoot unlimited snows. When you go you take cases of shells. This is a great late winter hunt and I have been told they are everywhere. Guys run out there and hunt the Midwest because just about everyone will give you access if club land is not available. With all the ground we have in MO and KS that should not be a problem. You can do MO in less then 10 hours.
This would be a great club trip to organize.

Bob The general license is $125.00 plus any tags you might want. this will alow you to hunt small game, but turkeys and deer or waterfowl you need a state tag.
The MO hunt sounds fun, I've never done a snow goose hunt. Do you need the $125. state license also out there? I might have to check on this also, Never invishioned going out there for snows. |

I was told MO only charges $6:00 for a NR to snow goose hunt.
I read the Ohio regs again. Your right on the button with the costs and other requirements.

Frank, You can by the 3 day license and the state waterfowl stamp in Ohio and hunt geese. Wouldn't work for deer or turkey, you need the annual for that. 3 day license is $40.

Yes. I always used a couple of 3 day licenses, but a couple years ago, they raised the 3 day. I believe it used to be $25, so I could hunt for 9 days or so cheaper than buying the annual, but not longer.

| Remember to use QDM Quality Dove Mgmt. You can only shoot doves that fly left to right and they must have 6 inch or better tail feathers. (haha) |
