Does anyone know the readers digest version of when we (private property hunters) are supposed to put in for doe permits in the southern lower. I have asked about 5 places that sell licenses and they say the dnr changed it again and they dont even know. thx John Oblak

John this was copied from the 2008 anterless deer guide from our DNR:

"Private land licenses for DMUs shaded green
go on sale Sept. 8 at 10 a.m."

Here is the link to the guide:
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dnr/Antlerless08_239310_7.pdf

Hope this helps
Andrew

Wow, they seem to be going on sale late this year. I thought it used to be the first part of August. It makes perfect sense for a DNR with a strugling balance book to try and collect there money later though. Plus put them on sale just over a week before the early season start so you can't trust purchasing the permit on line and having it mailed in time. What a bunch of stupid ass holes.

Agreed, I thought the same thing and did some extra looking on their website to see if they modified that date.
