Folks, I have set up the weekend of April 12th or 13th to do the woodduck boxes. I am waiting on the scout leader to let me know what day works for him and the scouts. Right now we have a total of 10 wood duck boxes ordered. I know of 5 that will go out on the 104 property and 2 of them are going to hillsdale, 1 a member wanted for his personal pond and 2 of them I don't know what is going to happen to them. As soon as I hear from the scout leader I will post a reply to this with a confirmed date.
On another note I know Mike Kirby wanted to set up a clean up day out on this property for sometime in April, If someone would like to come out and help I would appreciate it. I am setting it up so it will be that same weekend so we dont interfer with the Turkey season. So feel free to stop by and say hello if your in the area on that weekend.

Ok all my plans have been changed. After trying to confirm my schedule with the scouts schedule's we have decided to do the woodduck boxes on April 6th. It will be sunday at 9:30am when we arive. If anyone would like to help feel free to come out and have some fun. I still plan on doing the spring clean up the weekend of the 12 or 13th, so if you cant make it for the woodduck boxes but would like to help with the clean up again feel free to come out then. Just let me know what day would work best for you.

I have gotten all the woodduck boxes up with the boy scouts help. We placed 2 on unit A, 2 on unit B, 1 on unit F and 2 on unit C. We seen several ducks along with a wood duck, a bunch of geese and I seen a flock of turkeys prior to the boy scouts showing up.
Right now there is more water then I have ever seen out ther. Several of the post that we used for the wood duck boxes wher placed in water that is normaly dry land. We put the boxes on a 3X4 landscape timber, I hope the beaver don't cut them down.

Frank, Those boxes smell so great after a day of baking in my car, I think I might just leave them there! Much better than the smell of muddy wet dog.

Boxes went up on 120 on Saturday. Pond is full of water, and there were 2 mallards on it when we walked in. I have pictures and will post them as soon as I can get the new website figured out.
