I called Bowtech and ask why they rate their bows with a range like 330-338. They said it's simply because each bow has its unique characteristics. So if you have two identical models, lbs., draw length, etc, one might still shoot 8 fps faster. So they rate their bows with a 8-10 fps range.
If you notice, Mathews bows are all rated with an "approximate". For example the new DXT is 322fps (approx).
