Hey guys,

Just a reminder that January is the time to put in your turkey application for this coming Spring.

I just tried to go through the DNR web sight to submit mine but had a little problem, they didn't offer the turkey app as one of my choices, just fishing licenses??? Oh well, hopefully it will get fixed soon, otherwise I'll just put it in over the counter.

Thanks Jim I forgot last year and ended up with the 0234 hunt.

Andrew, if I remember correctly if you had decided to hunt with a gun instead of a bow you would have had your turkey. So it seems to me that the 0234 hunt isn't to bad.

Any one decided where they are going to hunt as of yet? I know we have quit a few good turkey propertys, or at least propertys with several birds on them.

You have a good memory. I am already starting to wrestle with bow vs 870 for this spring. Maybe I'll stop being so stubborn and use the 870. I know where a lot of turkey show up on 116 so I am leaning to hunt out there. But I plan on doing some shed hunting on other properties over the next few months and maybe find somewhere closer that I like and know as well as 116.

I grabbed my 0234 tag online. Now I just need to pick some dates to hunt. I also plan on buying a pop-up blind this year in order to take my boys (age 6 and 4).
