Hey Guys,

Well it's been awhile since I've been on the forum but I thought I should share a little bit with regards to some of the recent success's that our members and their children are experiencing on our properties thus far.

To date I've heard of 3 nice, potential CBM / P&Y bucks off club properties and a couple smaller good bucks and several does as well. These bucks have been taken from our Hillsdale, Cass and Oakland properties....and at this moment John Benedict isn't one of those lucky hunters:)

Anyways, we seem to be off to a great deer season and I hope everyone has a good time and remember to be careful and "know" what you are aiming at...remember in the movie "The Patriot"..."Aim-Small- Miss-Small". We don't want anyone getting hurt.

Also, I'm encouraging everyone that has been shooting deer of any size or birds/waterfowl to please take photos and video's of your hunts/kills and pass those along to Todd so that we can put it up on this forum and our website.

I'm heading to Da' Yooper next Tuesday @ 3:00 am and will be in the big woods of northern Marquette until Sunday, so I hope and pray that everyone is successful down here and most of all everyone enjoys God great outdoors and the families and friends that we've all been blessed with.

Good Luck and Git R Done...

Took my sister out to the Yale property last Friday and we both took a doe. It's been a slow couple weeks for me, and I was just hoping to see one. She's never seen a deer when she was out hunting before, so she was geeked when a couple came in staring at her tent at about 2:30. She never would have imagined that another 9 would come in on her right before dark! The first one noticed her move her head, so she shot the second one before they darted off. Turns out 2 of them came over my way and I got a shot at one as well. I'll get Todd one of the pictures for posting, even though they are just does.

Great job Brian. Tell your sister congrat's too. I believe that success isn't always measured by B&C or P&Y points, that most times true success is measured by the thrill / experience of the trip. Always send photos...

Thats GREAT Brian. You have to love it when you can help someone who has never seen let alone kill a deer get one. Congrats to the both of you. And don't feel bad I send Todd pictures of all the deer me or my kids shoot even if they are not on club property or a buck.

Nick,
That is great! Did you catch them crossing E? I'll be down there with my 4 yr old Friday night to hunt Saturday and Sunday.

Not sure, we were walking out and seen it on the south side of the tree line that the box blind is on, and we were on the north side. The shot was only 30 yards and it only ran 50 yards. It did look like it was heading from unit E but not sure, she shot it on unit C.
