I for one am looking forward to spending this Saturday squirrel hunting with my boys, ages 3 and 5, down in Cass County.

The simplicity of this type of hunting in combination with friends and family is truly magical to me. And we have some really nice opportunities through the club to relax and have some wonderful days afield.

Anyone else heading out?

Jim

Dad and I are hunting geese on 126 in the morning then walking right across the street to hunt squirrels on 122b after that. That should be a full day for us.

For a guy that is supose to be a rabbit hunter you sure don't do much rabbit hunting, or at least you don't post much about it any how. Just kidding ya Willy good luck out there with your dad. I am not going to be able to make the opener this year I have a Union meeting that I have to attened saturday untill monday. I might be able to get out for a few hours of running the dogs by the house I'm hopeing.

I can vouch for Willy's ability to hit rabbits. Now birds in the air are a whole nother matter.

Every bad shot I ever met blamed it on the gun. It was never thier inability to shoot that was the problem. Only kidding ya willy.

When it comes to birds remember the 3 B rule; Butt Beak BANG! it works every time.

I like that 3B rule, new one for me.

Willy, that is a really neat hunt you have planned, a feather and fur day. Would be great if you can get a pic of both species together from your day.

I know it's a little early but I am for sure going to try and plan "The 2nd Annual ASC Rabbit Bowhunt" again. You guys can really earn some bragging rights that way.
