I noticed an e-mail sent out a few weeks back when I was out of town for a hunt at Sexy Pheasant Farm. Do they offer a special discount to ASC members?

No, Sexy Pheasant doesn't at this time. I was setting up there because they had donated a hunt to our Ruffed Grouse Society banquet that I bought. At $90 for 5 birds released, they are pretty much at the average for pheasant hunts. I have had one request to do a European style hunt. Thats where you stand at a station and birds are flushed past you. Afterwards, the dogs come out for a hunt for any missed birds. If folks are interested I have a place about 30 minutes south of Jackson that does a very good hunt that includes a steak dinner and 20 birds released/person for $200. If there is enough interest, I could set it up, but I doubt we could get it off before the season closes in April.

Hey Todd
I know of a farm that will do this same type of hunt, not sure of the cost/birds released. but it is located in Genecee county. I have been hunting this farm for the past 3yrs. its a nice place. They also do a dinner with the hunt. If any members are intrested I can call and get the info. My son and I just went on a budy hunt there it was a great experience for both of us. I belive the cost is $190 perperson for 10 birds released with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 20 people. They have dog handlers for the European hunt, Then for the walk up you can use your own dogs. Also you can use your own dogs for the European style hunt but I wouldn't recomend it, Trying to handle a dog and a shotgun would be a bit hard in the blind.
