I live on the canal in Gibraltar, if I go left I'm in the Detroit River, if I go right I'm in Lake Erie. This is my first duck season here, so needless to say I am pumped about the duck season which starts Saturday. The 25 hp Mercury outboard that I am using was having some issues and I took it to the shop this morning. Instead of a simple tune up, I found out that the motor is junk, probably due to the 3 years in storage and rust in the needle bearings.
To get to the point, now I have a duck boat and no motor. If any member would be willing to lend me a 15-40 horse outboard for the season, I would be forever gratefull. I promise to treat it well and will pay for a tune up before it goes back to it's owner. If anyone has a motor hanging around, let me know.

Dan I don't own any thing that big, but I do have a 4hp outbord I would be willing to lend you. I personaly have used this motor on the detroit river and also on saginaw bay. your more then welcome to use it if you want. The hard part would be getting this motor to you as I work nights and found out today that I have to work all weekend. Todd can verifiy the reliableity of this motor, its small but runs like at champ just takes a bit longer to get where your going. I had it on a 14' boat. I can be reached at (810)347-5292, if you want to use it let me know.

Don, thanks for the offer. I ended up biting the bullet and purchasing a used 30 horse. No regrets, the motor runs great and I have had a great season so far.

Dan,
Don has equipment for the kids to bowhunt. I'm sure your son would have a blast.

I have 3-4 bows setup just for kids. We run a 24' pontoon boat so there is room. Kids are always welcome send me an email and I will put you on the list. The first time we can set up a couple nights that you can go. Then it will be up to the weather if the wind is over 7-8 miles an hour, it makes it to hard to steer the boat and to see the fish. After the first time I will put you on the list and when my son & I are going out I send out an email saying we atre going out and have room for ? number of shooters. Then its on a first call on who goes. ddolph@twmi.rr.com
Thinking we will start going out as soon as the ice breaksup this spring. So send me a reminder email in like march and we will go from there.
