Over the last couple years I've noticed bigger bluegill come in close to shore/docks around mid September on my lake. So this afternoon, my sons and I went down to the lake with slip bobbr rigs and worms and had at it. Ended up taking home 2 dozen home and figure I'll add to the freezer over the next few nights. The kids love 'em fried for breakfast and I make a great shorelunch chowder, we never seem to have enough around.
Ever notice how smaller things,in either hunting or fishing, take a bit of work but are always fun and worth the effort?
