Well, I've been playing with two new bows the last month or so and am really getting excited to see what they can do this fall. My new favorite is a 60" Pittsley Predator recurve shooting just over 50lbs @ my 29" draw. Got her tuned her up to deliver a FULL payload of broadhead or smallgame blunt down range!

Hopefully I can hit a 3D course or two this weekend for a little preseason warm up.

Anybody else gearing up for some archery fun?

Jim

I've been shooting 3D since mid-May. Been out scouting the properties and am more than ready for the opener. Here's hoping the cooler weather stays with us.

Been shooting my Black Widow PSAIII, 70# @ 28" at a target in my backyard. I've not been able to shoot any 3-D shoots yet, maybe later in the summer.

I started a few weeks ago. I like the 3-D ranges but the bugs this time of year can be nasty.

Adam went out in the garage last week and found out someone came into our garage and stole his Oneida Black eagle. It had the 33MM red dot sight also. Case, were arrows and bow all gone. He was at first very mad now he is just depressed. He is working very few hours so he is not sure if he will even be able to bow hunt when season starts. He won't have the moeny to replace it for a while. The rest of us in the family are LH so he is screwed.

Bob, just a thought, but you likely have coverage for replacement of the stolen bow under your home owners policy.

Gulu, Black Widows are cool on their own, but at 70#'s....you are the man! :)

I'm shooting about every day. Trying to practice shooting while sitting on my hunting stool which I'm finding is a bit different then casually standing to shoot 3D's. ..Now if I could just get to the scouting part.

Bob, that stinks about Adam's bow. I wanted to get a Black Eagle this year, but opted to get a crossbow with the new regulations this year. I know they cost quite a bit to replace, though. I hope he's able to get a replacement.

He got a PSE, he took a doe on #105. Very happy with the performance. Now I need to make some changes for my youngest boy. He is shooting one of the smaller Oniedas. He has not had much time too shoot it with all the school sports going on. He went from 5'4" to 6'3" in a hurry. His draw length is too short now. He still shoots it well, but I think I am going to need to sell it and get him something else. He is Left handed like me so I might be sharing when I can't make it out.
Nice thing about the Oniedas, they can really make adjustments. Just change out limbs and cables and you have a new bow.
