It will give us a voice in the most influential hunting organization in the state. Also, will help us save on the Outdoorama booth. I believe that some members (active charter) will be getting the MOOD magazine, but not sure how Mike and the Johns worked it out.

I meant active charter membership. We have a couple charter members that have been inactive. Again, not positive how it was worked out. I believe we had to have X number of MUCC members as part of the club to qualify. Original talk was we would sign up all charter members to get the number we needed. Sort of a thanks for your support when we were just starting out. Again, not sure what exactly happened, hopefully I didn't speak too soon.

Willie & Guys -

To clarify our intentions, Todd is correct, we wanted to provide our members who have been with us for 2 years with something that would show our gratitude and appreciation of their support. There are approx. 14 + members who fall into this catergory who will recieve a paid membership with MUCC. JR - will be clarifying that in the near future. As we go forward, we want to provide our members who have been with us some sort of service award for being apart of ASC, so we are looking at memberships with organizations like MUCC, as well as other ideas that we will unveil in the future. So, that's one clarification.

Further, it is our intention to postion ourselves as "affiliates or partners" with non-profit groups such as MUCC, Pheasants Forever, Ruffed Grouse, Ducks Unlimited, Quails Unlimited, Quality Deer Mgt., Commerative Bucks of Michigan, Rocky Mountain Elk Federation, Whitetails Unlimited, Turkey Federation, Safari Club Int, Hunters for the Hungry, etc. thereby increasing our knowledge and ability to properly manage and enhance our properties #1. 2ndly be able to understand how to increase our members knowledge of our states/nations hunting laws and legal systems within our industry and last but not least be able to see how these organization help to increase our youths awareness of how to help in community outreach opportunities such as "Hunters For the Hungry".

Current Example: Pheasants Forever is willing to bring in their wildlife biologists and bring their knowledge of enhancing our properties locally, but they need a landowner who will be in the club for years to come. So, we are working on identifying landowners who will be with us for 5 + years.

PF will provide native prairie grasses and other seed combined with cover tailored to improving pheasant habitat for "free". I can say we have some knowledege of how to manage property, but we're no where close to what experiences these organizations have.

My goal is to benchmark specific properties for Pheasants and Whitetail this year with a couple of these organizations, then open up the possiblities to enhance Quail, Dove, Turkey habitat next year or so and so on.

Come end of the day this will create better marketability for ASC as a whole. I want to be able to build enough credibility to approach the large hunting retailers with our concept and pitch a presentation of how we can help increase sales and awarenesss for them if they partner with us etc. But, in order to approach the Cabelas's, Bass Pro Shop's etc. we have to have some history and credibility built in order to have a leg to stand on when approaching those fellows.

I hope I clarified it for you Willie.

Is ASC still in sponsorhsip of the MUCC affiliate program? I am asking because I wanted to see if I qualified for the Michigan Out-Of-Doors Magazine.

Thanks

I am not sure the exact details, but my understanding is our members get a discount to be a member, but we don't get automatic membership(that is a different level of affiliation). I'll check into the details.
